Atmospheric Conditions in the Workplace

Comfortable atmospheric conditions in the workplace are essential for the health and wellbeing of employees.

This booklet is a brief, non-technical guide to the various factors involved in achieving optimum conditions - that is, an environment that will satisfy the majority of people in the workplace. It discusses the environmental factors of temperature, air movement, humidity and radiant heat that determine people's comfort, and the physiological factors that affect how people perceive conditions around them. It also offers advice on solving common workplace problems involving atmospheric conditions.
