The Floppy Ergonomist was designed in the Health and Technical Section of the Occupational Safety and Health Service of the New Zealand Department of Labour.

Initial programming was done at the Central Institute of Technology, Heretaunga, Wellington, by Kelly Sissons. Phil Simmonds drew the exercises.

This version of the "Floppy Ergonomist" is based on the "Floppy Office", designed and written by David Brown and Robin Mitchell of the Airport Health Centre, Sydney. Chris Walls and Frank Darby initiated this revision with their permission and encouragement.
