The Act deals with all safety and health issues in all workplaces and during all work activity.

This means that it applies to such things as:

• Farms
• Shops
• Offices
• Construction work
• Forestry work
• Work in aircraft
• Work on ships
• Railways
• Work that moves, for example, in trucks or vans or on foot (posties).

• Employers
• Employees
• Principals
