The Act deals with all safety and health issues in all workplaces and during all work activity.
This means that it applies to such things as:

- Farms
- Shops
- Offices
- Construction work
- Forestry work
- Work in aircraft
- Work on ships
- Railways
- Work that moves, for example, in trucks or vans or on foot (posties).
